I simply can't stand the inactivity in the HW division. I know there are different reasons for each case but just take a look at all the contenders that haven't fought in a while.
Klitschko and Fury haven't fought in 11 months, Bryant Jennings 10 months, Povetkin and Stiverne finally fighting in December after not having fought in the last 11 months, Lucas Browne 7 months, Artur Szpilka 9 months, Fres Oquendo (not that he deserves even being listed, but) 27 goddamn months, Eric Molina 6 months, Alexander Ustinov 10 months, Amir Mansour 9 months, Hughie Fury 6 months, Mike Perez 17 months, Antonio Tarver 14 months and some other guys like Haye, Breazeale, Fedosov, Wach, Briggs, Martin, Pulev and Joshua that are on 4 or 5 months now with no fights.
Again, some of these guys have unique circumstances, I get that, but there's no legitimate reason for this many contenders to be so inactive in one division, especially the sports' historic, glory division. And I wasn't even counting guys like Takam, Duhaupas, Scott and Pianeta who are supposed to be fighting soon but haven't fought in a while or guys like Charr, Chisora, Price, Helenius, Witherspoon, Kauffman and Rudenko who are content to fight bums every now and then in hope that someone will give them a payday to get obliterated. Just sad for boxing and this division that nobody seems real inclined to fight each other.
