Tyson left no question in doubt about who he fought he fought better level of opponents and at the right time not at a cherry picked time, no stipulations and he even was willing to fight abroad.

Lets compare prime Vs. prime opponents

    Tyson
    Evander Holyfield
    Lennox Lewis
    Frank Bruno

    Mayweather
    Diego Corralles
    Ricky Hatton
    Victor Ortiz

It really doesn't compare, like the great Muhammad Ali said
No great fighter goes undefeated If he is fighting everyone he is meant to be fighting, Tyson followed that same idea.

Just honestly for a second Tyson and Floyd they're two completely different type of people old school who wanted to fight the best Vs. the new school who wanted to talk about business, making money and manipulating what he does so he can make himself more marketable and ask yourself this is losing marketable?
Floyd didn't test himself to the fullest that is undoubtable we can't say the same about Tyson hence why Tyson has lost and Floyd hasn't (well he did lose to Maidana and Castillo but he got gifts by the judges).

Douglas when on point was as good a HW technical boxer as ive seen. He lost early in career and when overweight ,his only real losses in shape and when he was no longer a rookie was to Ferguson and Tucker (a fight he couldve won ) .Between 86 and 90 he was real good ,he only lacked desire which is crucial to succeed and be a champion . Hes also the only guy i saw knock down a guy 3 times with a jab ,which was one of the best ever ,take away popularity and actually watch him fight he couldve had a shot to beat anyone but he was mentally weak and that 6'4 body with 83 inches of reach got about to 80% of his actual potential .

For me it's Mayweather by a wide margin. Mayweather was a reigning champion most of the time from the age of 21 until he retired age 38. He beat many champions and top contenders and he never lost a fight or had a draw. He was never cleanly knocked down in spite of fighting many punchers and boxers bigger than himself. Tyson got off to a good start but later he suffered numerous loses and KO defeats. At age 38 he was not very good anymore. If you could make a prime Tyson and a prime Mayweather exactly the same size I think Mayweather would beat easily beat Tyson.

Tyson went 2-3 against the guys you mentioned. I know the 2nd Holyfield fight was a DQ, but Tyson still didn't win. Holyfield wasn't exactly prime at the time either and Lewis was a little past it as well. Actually, Holyfield was viewed as a cherrypick gone wrong.

I won't argue that Floyd didn't test himself to the fullest when he retired in 08 instead of fighting Cotto or Margarito and fighting an older Pacquiao, but Cotto and Pac still had a lot left in the tank when he beat them. Floyd never lost to a Buster Douglas type of opponent in his prime.

I've criticized Floyd's resume for years, but he still has a better one. His resume at 130-135 is pretty solid.

Even if Floyd's resume could have much better without the cherrypicking in the second half of his career, it still has some great wins. He could have lost on the scorecards to Castillo and Maidana, but Floyd did give them rematches and beat them both decisively. He deserves credit for that and his resume would have been much worse if he didn't fight them again. Top fighters like Garcia or Canelo didn't give rematches to guys who arguably beat them.

And are we going to ignore the fact that Tyson dropped his WBC belt to not fight Lennox Lewis IN 1996??

                    Mayweather by far...

                    Tyson's best wins are
                    Berbick
                    Old holmes
                    Old Spinks
                    Bruno
                    Ruddock
                    Tucker

                    Floyd got
                    Corrales
                    Hatton
                    Manny
                    Cotto
                    Canelo
                    Marquez
                    Maidana
                    Castillo

Plus floyd never lost to journeymen like buster douglas
