If people didn't see then they didn't see it, why would anyone lie about seeing a sparring session lol. I remember that ponytail boxing journalist talking about the sparring. I myself have never had the chance to see the sparring.

Once a video hits the internet, there is no way to stop it, something like this was more than desired by the boxing community, and i dont think that oscar could have done anything to prevent anyone on the media from watching it, let alone downloading...

In a few years you'll be telling us you saw the GGG and Kovalev sparring session.

Did no one on here view it, for real? Or are you all joking around?

Both the Chavez/GGG and the Canelo/GGG sparring sessions were on YouTube for at least a year. Actually, I'm surprised no one saved them, if they were indeed taken down.

I suspected this much would happen, eventually, but I never imagined that not one person would take the time to at least save it. O_O

The fighter I root for is Cotto, so I never bothered, personally.

Anyway, if this isn't some big trolling joke or something, I'll give you all a brief overview, from what I remember:

The Chavez/GGG session was mostly controlled by GGG, in what I would consider dominating fashion. It wasn't anything out of this world, but GGG was in a clear lead.

As for Canelo/GGG, the fight was more even, at least compared to Chavez, but GGG still got the better of it. Nothing dramatic, really, either.

At the end of the day, it's merely sparring, and a lot of time has passed since, but the takeaway here is that GGG got the better of them.

BTW, I don't root for GGG, and I disagree with people who say Cotto ducked him. I still believe Cotto beats GGG, so that'll tell you how much I care about making GGG look good. The man has fought no one, whether it's his fault or not. And no way would anyone, let alone Cotto, turn down 30 million dollars to make the biggest fight in boxing just to fight GGG instead.

Canelo ducked but not Cotto. Cotto simply wanted the biggest fight in boxing, and that wasn't GGG.

It's clear that with the drama going on between Canelo/GGG, Golden Boy found a way to convince the uploader to get rid of it, but I'm astonished that NO ONE here saw it. O_O

I thought those sparring sessions were pretty much common knowledge that everyone ignored because of the time passed since.
OK, let's say there was a video and no one bothered saving it. Link me to a forum post on ANY boxing site talking about the footage. The link to the now erased video should be there. Even if it's taken down the link should still be there. This forum has been around since 2003. Shouldn't be hard to find it.

Now youre just making up bullsh it. Like Ray said, why would I, and others on here, lie about a damn sparring session? I don't know what happened to the footage, but it exists. I dont appreciate being called a liar, which is basically what you're doing. What I saw was maybe a round of decent sparring with GGG working Canelo against the ropes for much of it. Nothing spectacular, nothing to write home about, and certainly nothing to go writing an article about. But whatever, homie, believe what you want to believe. I guess several of us, in separate locations, all saw the same illusion.

At the time canelo & triple g weren't the stars they are today so no one knew how important that footage was. I believe it was taken down just before canelo started really building a name for himself. I've seen the footage and Triple G got the better of Canelo.

Pretty sure there was a short clip with GGG and Canelo in the ring, but I don't think it had much in it or was a short clip.

As for JCC jr. Vs GGG, that was definitely on YouTube and JCC jr. was basically practicing taking shots to the face in that fight.

So you're telling me it wasn't a big deal yet Sanchez only called a certain number of people to come watch the session. No video allowed only still pictures. But it wasn't a big deal? Fischer wrote an article about it but it wasn't a big deal? In the article he stated he hated making the drive to big bear but wouldn't miss those one but it wasn't a big deal? The reason everyone refers to that article is because there is no footage. Anytime that session is talked about people refer to that article. If there was video people would mention seeing the video but they don't.

there was definitely footage homie. I remember seeing it. It definitely was on youtube but has vanished. I really didn't think much about it back then. I really don't care what anyone says, I know what I watched. You act like someone couldn't be easily paid off to take down the footage and people from both camps to keep their lips sealed. Theres a code of conduct when it comes to sparring, Especially for fighters on the come up. Stop acting like this is something new.
