It was also said by Canelo that the fight would take place at 160 with no issues. Do you forget that?

      So forget what's being said.

What's the most fair situation? give the younger and heavier man a CW so he can weaken the man he already outweights?

What kind of fan are you?

“There’s really no one at 160 pounds who could go the distance with Gennady,” said Loeffler.

we’ve talked about moving up to 168 for Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. because that would be a pay-per-view fight and if it’s Canelo, then I’m sure that we could work out a catchweight if he wanted to work out a catchweight and if it’s in his best interest. So that would certainly be a pay-per-view fight,” said Loeffler.

so whats your point? You think golovkins scared of canelo? Despite beating him up in sparring and saying yes when canelo called him out, its golovkin who doesnt want the fight? Im pretty sure canelos said in past that fighting GGG at 160 is no problem, funny how you havent put them quotes up in this ****** thread.

"There wouldn’t be any issues for us to come down to fight Canelo. There would still be a title on the line for Gennady because he would be fighting under 160, so he would be able to defend the titles at 156 or whatever you have the weight be. But Gennady would be willing to come down in weight to fight Canelo." said Loeffler.

But Gennady would be willing to come down in weight to fight Canelo. I wouldn’t say it would be at 154 but certainly, given that Canelo fought his last fight at 155, then you could say that Gennady would certainly be willing to come down in weight to make the Canelo fight.”

How do you answer in any way what you quoted from me?

This article is from awhile ago. I think there's even a newer one from Loeffler where he said that while Golovkin is the mandatory, they'll insist on 160. If that's no longer the case and they get the belt, they're open to negotiating the weight.

Lemme find it.. Boxing news 24: /2016/01/loeffler-says-golovkin-wont-negotiate-canelo-weight-fight/
“In our particular instance against Canelo there wouldn’t be any negotiations about the weight,” Loeffler said to skysports.com. “It would be two middleweight champions fighting each other at 160lbs. Now if Canelo vacates the title and it becomes a voluntary fight down the road in 2017, then anything is negotiable – the money, location and weight.”

Loeffler may have inadvertently tipped his hand by saying that Golovkin would be open to fighting at catch-weight if Canelo is no longer the champion. By saying that, Loeffler may give some ideas to Canelo about vacating his WBC title and then looking to get a catch-weight fight against Canelo as the challenger. I wouldn’t put that move past Canelo to try and get the 155lb catch-weight handicap.
So yep, nothing new here and still true.

im confused too, werent you saying golovkins got to go up in weight, one division coward etc? Now why are you all suddenly demanding he should go DOWN in weight? Its almost as if you just talk **** for the sake of it without thinking, surely not...
