if he "cheated" as much as these posters accuse him of he would have several DQ losses.....people exaggerate the frequency of things to support a weak argument

where were all the fouls, clinches and head butts in his last few fights?

its pretty lame, because he never needed a biased ref or judge, he beats his opponents clearly each outting
Ward is also respected by his peers, respect that he wouldn't receive if he merely clinched and fouled his way to victory.....

most boxers who are good at moving out of the way of an incoming glove are called boring and they don't have Ballz. but if they let the glove hit them then its exciting.... no win situation with these people

Guess we'll just have to wait & see, won't we? But...doesn't hoping he loses to Kovalev mean that we believe Kovalev will beat him? Ward does fight the "Krusher" next right? So who else do we believe will beat him that night?

Every person who posts on this board is an individual with his own thoughts and opinions. You really can't put them into groups that all think exactly alike. I respect Ward for his great fighting skills. I don't like his fighting style and don't really like him as a person although there is nothing wrong with him as a person. The son of God is just too arrogant and self righteous for me. I like Kovalev as a person and I like the way he fights. I believe he will beat Ward but I am not sure he will win. It's a great match up between the two best light heavyweights in the world in my opinion anyway.

every one doesn't have power whether it be the highest level or not

you make the most out of the physical gifts you have and fight a style best suited for yourself

At the highest level, fighters should know how to work out of a clinch, avoid them and use them when necessary but it seems some people don't understand that these techniques are taught in the amatuers so a seasoned pro is expected to know these things, not make excuses for them

What entertains you, may not entertain me, and watching a war with no strategy and technique is boring to me, that's why I hardly ever watch UFC...they look amateurish

I can appreciate all styles...no fighter in history has been exciting in every fight.
It's got nothing to do with ko ratio...it's about fighting to the level of your ability. Ward could do more and be more entertaining if he chose to be...within his strategic style. If doing enough to win is good enough for you and his other fans, then that's fine, but don't say other people who aren't big fans just can't see his brilliance...and don't act all surprised that he isn't a draw either.

Every fighter doesn't have an aggressive temperament and/or Power

Gotta make due with what god gave you

I just see this fight either going to Kovalev by hurting Ward an clearly winning or being a controversial win for Ward. It could go a bit like Castillo vs Mayweather 1 where Floyd Fans claim Floyd won this and the rest of the world saw Castillo winning.

I hope we don't see no dirty tactics and headbutting from Ward and a ref that does his job and is neutral.
