That's because he was draining himself to make the weight (good for him). You act like everyone has to move up.
By your logic GGG has to move up to HW to prove himself
Lara doe
You do know Lemieux severely drains himself to make weight right? You like being contrary for no reason.
Just because GGG made it look easy doesn't mean it's easy. I know Lemieux had a couple issues earlier in his career but in the past 5 years, he has been on a tear. That left hook he has is super fast and super deadly, much better than Garcia's "GARSH" punch.
Overall, I'd rate him as a solid B+ boxer. He has good speed, power, decent movement, average defense, great reflexes. He doesn't have the highest boxing IQ, which will always be a limiting factor.
Nothing, and I mean NOTHING is better than "THE GARSH".
He's the Michael Katsidas of the MW division. A crude brawler who will win against the lower tier guys of 160 and lose against the upper echelon of fighters at 160. 160 has no good fighters in it, so we really don't know how good GGG is. We can say the same about Hopkins era too though.
Oooh bbbut Floyd was 130lbs first ever fight and he moved up a whole 24lbs (albeit we should say 17 because he never remained at 154lbs) from the time he was 18 years old lmfao!!
I can't believe you lot are actually impressed about someones body maturing what about bodybuilders who go from 8stone all the way to 20 stone with 5-8% body fat by god that must be insane lol they use steroids just like Floyd too hahahahahahahaha!
That makes no sense Red. You can't compare a resume to bodybuilding. I can't stand Floyd, but he beat the best in EVERY division he's fought in Lemeuix has nothing to register on the same scale. The kid is tough, has a good punch, but who has he beat?
very very good fighter. was a match up praised by everyone, saw people saying it could be like hagler hearns, But of course, now GGG has beaten him he must be useless...
