I don't see anybody overrating him he is what he is a strong as ****, technically limited puncher.

I don't think its fair holding his losses against him, he was a 21yr old inexperienced kid who wasn't taking his career seriously.
He has bounced back quite well and carved out a pretty good career out of the limited tools he has.

He isn't the most athletic or naturally gifted guy in the world but he can fight.

I guess the 5 year time span has nothing to do with it.

Very true. To my defense, I did say on his best day

            B+, B-, C+, C-, D+, D- etc etc

No matter where you rate him, I bet none of you in this forum would want him punching you in the face LOL

It is funny. Lemieux, who just freshly won a belt he could have milked in Montreal but wanted the main man instead. That earns my respect when so many others avoid him.

Just because GGG made it look easy doesn't mean it's easy. I know Lemieux had a couple issues earlier in his career but in the past 5 years, he has been on a tear. That left hook he has is super fast and super deadly, much better than Garcia's "GARSH" punch.

Overall, I'd rate him as a solid B+ boxer. He has good speed, power, decent movement, average defense, great reflexes. He doesn't have the highest boxing IQ, which will always be a limiting factor.

Lemieux's stock will rise considerably once N'dam wins a gold medal. He can add defeating a gold medalist to his list of accomplishments.

He's much much better than Curtis Stevens, this we know.
