when a guy's conditioning coach in 2009 has him eating of calories to put on weight [i can provide links if i need to, but you can just watch 24/7 pacquiao - hatton to see it for yourself,] and still only weighs 138, he is not a welterweight. in that same year floyd lost over half a million bucks because he missed weight against marquez. this was when floyd was broke, mind you, and owed the IRS 7 figures.
manny could easily make 140 lbs today. floyd needed an IV to rehydrate after weighing 147. they are not the same size.
manny fought at welterweight at the end of his career, but he wasn't a "natural" welterweight. a fighter's optimum fighting weight and where he's fighting to make themost money can be different things. manny was a 135-140 lber fighting at WW for the money. this was esepcially evident when he fought hatton, and weighed 138 lbs while training at a caloric surplus.
