Terms have been reached for a super featherweight title eliminator between Juli Giner and Mexico's Miguel "Micky" Roman. The bout will take place April 1 in Barcelona, Spain.
The winner will be named the mandatory challenger to newly crowned World Boxing Council (WBC) 130 lb. titlist Francisco Vargas, who will face Orlando Salido on June 4 in Carson, California.
Negotiations were underway for the past several weeks between camps shortly after the final elimination bout was ordered by the WBC, who ranked Giner #2 and Roman at #3. Talks were intense but the two sides finally agreed to terms over the weekend to bring the fight to Giner's native Spain.
The show will be promoted by Gallego Prada Promotions.
