Comments Thread For: Weights From DC: Ortiz 242.6, Thompson 263.8

Luis Ortiz is set for his fourth fight in a span of just nine months as he takes on veteran heavyweight Tony Thompson. Their non-title fight takes place Saturday evening at the D.C. Armory in Washington D.C., airing live on HBO.

As pointless as it is for a weigh-in to take place in a division with an unlimited weight limit, Friday's scene was a bit telling for both boxers. Ortiz tipped the scales at a career-heaviest 242.6 lbs., while Thompson - decked out in a T-shirt, sweatpants, ball cap and sneakers - checked in at 263.8 lbs.

Ortiz is the best heavyweight right now unless proven otherwise. Tyson Fury would have his hands full with Ortiz no doubt! And how can you pick on Ortiz when Fury is just as soft with a taller and longer build?

Tyson Fury is the best.. he's the lineal champion after beating klit

Ortiz just beat one of klit's leftovers

Fury has no belly like Ortiz he was in great shape for the fight with Klitschko

Predicting an early KO. I like Thompson but I think he's only showing up for a check here. Def not going past 6.
