The rule book says you should not negotiate in the position of weakness. You get what you deserve in that kind of situation. Common sense tells you that you're not suppose to beg. If you do, then don't complain whatever is given to you.
You negotiate with something to offer, or you have fulfilled what was asked of you. Khan repeatedly asked Brook he should first defend his title against a legit opponent. Brook refused to do so.
In the first place why would you even want to put all your eggs in the Khan basket? That's just ******. It makes you look like an opportunistic person who can't do it on his own. Had Hearn and Brook pursued somebody like Thurman and won, Khan would have been the one begging for the fight. But they're too scared to lose the Khan pay day. Brook stock would have shoot up astronomically. He probably wont' even need Khan.
