Damn, the entire canelo team is something else. I knew there was a reason I didn't care for the outcome of the cotto-canelo fight. This diva and his girlfriends are here to use their name no matter what and I'm sure the sky is the limit in terms of their demands.
The next decade of their catlike ways will know no boundaries

The limitations of canelo are truly starting to appear...here you have a boxer who rehydrates to 175 pounds.who probably on fight night outweighed him by 12lb...who hit cotto clearly on the chin with full blown shots and never buckled him once...who cannot make light middleweight anymore....who is refusing to step into the ring and defend his belt against a fellow middlweight and is demanding that all fighters weigh no more than 155 and yet he is holding a 160 belt...any boxing guy that defends this kind of behaviour in terms of being a champion falls into 2 category's ....they either have no knowledge of boxing and what being a champion means at that weight or there just so ignorant and biased they can't see beyond there nose......canelo will get stripped and golovkin can be champion and defend that belt like a true middlweight .....let canelo do his thing and continue to dehydrate himself trying to avoid his obligations at middlweight .....canelo is looking pathetic with this 155 bull**** war golovkin

Fighters fight for themselves, not for their countries. This is not the world boxing championships or the Olympics. A lot of of Mexicans do disagree with these ridiculous and cowardly tactics by Canelo.
So in your viewpoint, Floyd Mayweather Jr. has destroyed the reputation of all Americans as boxers, for his long list of negative things he has done in his career, including catch-weights for titles and always dictating the terms of the fights for his benefit? Manny has disgraced his entire country for winning a bunch of titles using catch-weights as well and dictating the terms of his fights as well? And Cotto has embarrassed Puerto Rico too, for the same reasons?
No. They embarrass themselves as individuals, not an entire nation. All the mentioned guys may have earned the right to be called "divas", but please do not bring entire nations into the argument. Mexican boxers are not divas as a rule, only these two, Canelo and Chavez Jr., have disgraced themselves and everybody knows they are a product of targeted marketing because their sizes and looks are not those of an average Mexican boxer.
Did you even watch the fight previous to the Canelo one? A more typical Mexican warrior won vs. a Japanese warrior, purely by guts. In a brutal fight, unbeaten super featherweight Francisco “El Bandido” Vargas (23-0-1, 17 KOs) dethroned WBC champion Takashi Miura ...
But of course, that one hardly made the news. The Mexican guy won by PURE GUTS and I'm sure that he will not require a catch weight to defend his newly-acquired title against ANYONE.
Oh, why bother anyways. Yeah, everything great Mexican warriors did in their time, will be undone by these pathetic new media-driven divas. Maybe JMM with a broken nose, about to be KO'd and his corner about to throw in the towel, never knocked the hell out of Pacquiao, when he refused to back down an inch, or clinch or run. Or maybe he never recovered from three knock downs in the 1st round of their first fight ever, to come back and get a draw in a fight where many saw him as the winner. Or maybe JCC senior never defeated Roger Mayweather twice, never throwing a superman shot when he was being outsized, outreached, out-jabbed by the much taller guy. Or maybe the great Salvador Sanchez never KO'd Danny Lopez, Azumah Nelson and Wilfredo Gomez, just because the Cinammon kid turned out to be a coward vs. GGG. Whatever you and the other Mexican haters say.Last edited by sterilizer; 11-26-2015, 08:26 PM.
