Comments Thread For: Andre Ward's Coach: We Look Forward To Kovalev Bout

Virgil Hunter, trainer of Olympic gold medal winner Andre Ward (28-0, 15KOs), looks forward to next year's battle with WBO/IBF/WBA light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (28-0-1, 25KOs).

Ward has a highly successful run in the super middleweight division with wins over Arthur Abraham, Mikkel Kessler, Chad Dawson, Sakio Bika, Edwin Rodriguez, Carl Froch, Edison Miranda, Allan Green, and several others.

Team Cow-Ward is using the Fraud Pedcheater Jr playbook...say you want to fight them, duck them till they get old or hurt.

At least Hunter is smart enough to not say "What's the rush?"

Ward has been relatively inactive. Kov has been active.

I want to see this match up soon!

these are more positive tones, but lets me be clear..an article doesnt always tell the story or a video..idc how much it quotes it

i cant assess body language or tones in articles..or respect/disrespect..

i hear that the fight game interview with ward was basically thrashing him before he even spoke...those type of things can make him change his tone and make him carry the conversation differently...im just waiting it out..the man has fought some of the best so he'll have to prove he is scared before i convict him

So how many more tune-ups will Ward be gunning for?
One of best P4P need more than a couple of tune-ups?
