The return of former two-division world champion Zab Judah under the Greg Cohen Promotions banner is off to a rocky start. What was supposed to be his debut with GCP in early September was cancelled after a weigh-in scuffle left his opponent Hevinson Herrera unable to fight.

Looks like Nevada is for real with this "suitable opponent" stuff. I could understand Ward having trouble finding a world class opponent 3(?) weeks before a fight, but it seems like it'd be not so hard to find a journeyman type cat to fight a 38yr old nowhere near his prime Judah on a weeks notice.

Imagine some people, in particular small timers, will be looking to put on shows elsewhere.

Maybe I'm reading too much into recent changes, but seems like the NSAC is making moves that fit MMA more than boxing. They made some drastic PED changes that the UFC was asking for not long ago. And now they are requiring a higher competitive level in fights which is something thats standard in MMA. You can lose your opponent 4 days before a UFC fight & maybe get a better opponent things are so competitive in the UFC.
