Eddie Hearn becoming PBC CEO for UK? He's the biggest promoter in the UK and will just give it up to work for someone else?

Do you think Eddie's father would be OK with that? People don't work hard to build something up just to hand it off to someone else. At this point PBC would need to pay in the tens/hundreds of millions to buy Matchroom Boxing outright for anything resembling your wild fantasies to happen.

Of course Haymon would love to have Hearn bring all his fighters and TV dates to PBC so that he can take over the UK, but why would they make it so easy for him? "Here's everything we've worked hard to build, it's all yours, but can I please be the CEO and have a decent salary?"

Do you really think that the PBC has NOT been trying to get TV dates in the UK already? They have been and they've been going nowhere because they don't have much to offer (if anything at all), outside of a few fighters who are obligated to Matchroom and Sky Sports anyway (so they can't take them to BT Sport or ITV).
I think these guys are taking all the wrong lessons from US B/C grade promoters who could barely get TV time becoming Haymon's rent-a-promoters, getting a decent cut for no promotional risk.

I'm talking about this article and Al Haymon targeting a UK invasion right now. With the way the situation is now, I can't see Matchroom and PBC "merging" and Eddie Hearn becoming some PBC CEO UK Division.
Obviously its speculation. I said that at the start. And of course its assumptions. Its not like I missed a meeting with Haymon & just aren't clued into the next 6 mos strategy right this moment. But what I know is this is some long game stuff. And I know if this PBC thing ends up being successful its a game changer for boxing. I know a lot of you guys seemed to have wanted PBC to be on some NFL **** or outta business in 6 months, but that was never gonna be how this goes down. As fans all we can do is comment on the recent news & speculate on what that may or may not mean in the future.

Yeah, I'm sure network execs are just going to go crazy to give a long term deal to Haymon after this one.
Lmao... It's Halloween,,, why would you put on a good matchup.. Do you want them to put a major fight on Halloween???

Put on a show, showcasing a futre star..

Plus you never answered my question.

If Pbc and haymon are so ******,,, please tell me the better route of getting on network TV..

You claim to be so much smarter then haymon and Waddell n Reed,,,, tell me how you would get on network TV??.?

I mean if Herschman can do what he did at HBO on a ~$30M budget imagine what Herchman could do with the supposed last of Haymon's $214M or w/e lol. Thats 7 HBO years worth of money. I don't think its happening nor do I suspect its impossible that it could happen is basically my only stance, but I found it a fun lil idea to speculate on is why I brought it up.

I do think PBC needs a on the ground general for this thing. Schaefer, last I heard, hasn't jumped in, at this point I'm thinking maybe he's not gonna. Espinoza I assumed was just with Showtime.

Haymon is too hidden. Sam Watson seems too busy with fighters. Someone needs to be the public figurehead of this thing. Someone needs to be crossing the t's & dotting the i's with some of the silly mistakes that are getting made & better aiming this huge roster to fights that make more sense for a variety of reasons.
I guess it's I just don't see Hershman being all that engaging of a front man, tbh. Beyond that, I think that the silly mistakes are already being fixed in house (placement of the shows have been making far more sense, the fighters have been given just enough leeway in the presentation to inject their own personalities yet preserve PBC branding, and the matchups have continued to be competitive, among other things).

PBC does need a "Dana White"-type figure though; I just assumed that they were waiting to the tail end of the project, when the consolidated deal interest would be picking up, to make that move

Not sure what your interests are beyond this forum, but think of the PBC effort as being akin to what the National Wrestling Alliance did for professional wrestling; info is on Google if still unclear.

Rather than dealing with the entirely fractured nature of boxing, the PBC effort, from the looks of things, puts Haymon's fighters, and the fighters with DBE/TGB/Warriors/GYM/SampsonBoxing/MayweatherPromotions/MatchroomSport (and the outfits affiliated with those people, ie Sauerlands, et al) all into one common talent pool, with the mentioned promoters using said talent pool to promote PBC fight cards, but also their own fight cards as well.

CEO of PBC UK is the wrong way to look at it; the UK would simply be, in the Haymon talent pool, Matchroom Sports "promotional territory" (no idea of the validity that should be given for the initial article, but neither of the UK names mentioned seemed to have a real in to a possible TV partnership).

Matchroom Sport versus the best collection of boxing talent in the world (whether the fights happen in the UK/Germany or the US, Matchroom Sport would have the right of first refusal for the UK rights of any PBC-affiliated fights). Since when has Haymon ever shown himself to be the guy to simply buy someone's company (Oscar De La Hoya situation aside; though, in hindsight, if that move had gone through, the entire PBC project would've likely been put in jeopardy)?
