Comments Thread For: Oscar De La Hoya: Gennady Golovkin is All About Power

It was the stinging left-jab of Gennady Golovkin that keyed his dominant performance over David Lemieux this past weekend at the Madison Square Garden in New York. By stopping Lemieux in eight rounds, Golovkin now has possession of the WBA, IBF and IBO middleweight titles.

Golovkin is known for his punishing left-hook and powerful right hand, but on this night, his jab truly set the table.

Golovkin was taking backward steps and not just walking forward and aimlessly trading on Saturday.

Shouldn't you hate him now? Clearly a b1tch poosay as you'd say.

Oscar seems to have mistaken which fighter was Lemieux and which was Golovkin.

Golovkin is all about offense, but it is not all power related because he won against Lemieux because he was the clearly more sound boxer. His defense wasn't bad but the fear of the jab or other offense greatly aided his defense.

His offense especially at his range is very good or better than very good.

Least he didn't need to clinch constantly whilst fighting at his reach advantage.
