Then I am utterly disappointed in this guy. I thought being humble was one of his qualities. If his rising popularity is already getting to his head, too bad, I am not rooting for him because I really dislike ego-maniacs. All that comment, as short as it is, is so extremely presumptuous.

I hope those were not his exact words, not even close to that. From his trainer, I can expect that and more, but from himself, I never ever thought he could be such an arrogant ******.

He is always a good sportsman and complimentary to his opponents.

The question may have been misleading also.

After the fight, he was interviewed in English. And he responded SPEAKING in a very understandable English, IMO.

In that interview, he never mentioned any of those words. He was somewhat humble, and I think he did recognize that Lemiux has punching power and he (GGG) felt it.

So this alleged interview where he seems to act like a total egomaniac jerk, must have been done somewhere else and I sure would like to watch the video as opposed to an article where, as you correctly state, his words may have been utterly twisted, so the title would attract more attention, which it actually did BTW.

But that just comes down to styles.

And I doubt that Lemieux could beat Cotto, he is levels above Lemieux.

That will not be Lemieuxs last loss at 160

Yea, its kinda like the late punch, where the real point is that Golovkin is not known as a dirty fighter..... so you can easily make an exception and chalk it up to heat-of-the-moment..... but he shoulda been docked a point and Lemieux should have been given time.

The same with those comments imo because Golovkin is always respectful, even to the point of being complimentary.

You would have to give Golovkin the benefit on both of those points, considering that both examples seem to be a stark contrast to how he usually carries himself.

GGG was not acting like an egomaniac jerk, he was stating the facts at the post fight press conference.
