Comments Thread For: Berto on Criticism: Not Paying Attention To That Bull****

Andre Berto is doing his best to not pay any attention to the longshot odds that come with his September 12 challenge of unbeaten World welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, or the criticism that has come with the fight. Few in the industry believe Berto will be competitive with the pound-for-pound king, much less pull off what would be a monumental upset.

Going to buy this fight for several reasons, 1.black on black fight try to kill each other which makes for an exciting bout. 2. Yes, I'm in celebration of Floyd's final fight, and 3.the other three bouts should be pretty darn good as well. That's just my two ($)cents.

You only gonna have two cents left if you keep buying garbage like this like a sucker throughout your lifetime.

I PERSONALLY can't wait till the 13th because it will mean that Floyd is no longer boxing and can't ruin anymore other fighters careers by holding belts hostage and not fighting mandies like every other fighter is supposed to. The 13th can't come soon enough.

Berto gave up his biggest fight to help Haiti, and still does it today. He used the star power (while admittedly not a whole lot) to start forums about police violence. While I don't think he earned the fight through boxing (no one in the division has) he is a MUCH better choice than that whiney entitled twat Khan. Porter and Thurman haven't done much and Brook would probably take some negotiating to get done. So the good guy might as well get a pay day. i don't plan to purchase the fight, but I am glad that Berto gets a good check.

It is pretty insane the amount of hate Floyd is getting for this fight. I personally Am purchasing it because as a whole the card is great. The main event is going to be competitive I don't care what anyone says.

I will list Pacquiaos oppenents before the Floyd fight and he did not get this much slack:

Chris Algeri??????? Noone really took this fight as a challenge. And this did (350,000) in PPV buys.

Tim Bradly????? Who he dominated in the first fight.

Brandon Rios???? A plodding slow ass punching bag.

I would argue that Andre Berto is on a higher level than those guys. I always liked Andre Berto he has skills and was the next in line to face Floyd before the Hati earth Quake and his injuries.

He has the ability to give Floyd a similar fight to that of Cotto and may even do better due to the fact he has way more stamina and is more athletic. I do not see him winning but by no means do I see a walk in the park. I have never liked Floyd always root against him except for the Pacman fight and the Judah fight. So this is not a ***** comment. The difference between Khan and Berto is that Berto jaw is not made of glass and he has the will to win.

I am looking forward to this fight card and that weekend continue eating FAT DANs and Brian Chambles blogs, and you are going to miss a hell of a night of boxing. Because weather he wins or loses Andre Berto is never in a boring fight.
