Comments Thread For: Cotto: My Brother, a 135-Pounder, Badly Hurt Canelo

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez is gearing up to face WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto on November 21st at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. For Canelo, it won't be the first Cotto that he faces.

Back in 2010, Canelo made his HBO Pay-Per-View debut against Miguel's older brother, Jose Miguel Cotto. The fight was held on the Floyd Mayweather vs. Shane Mosley undercard on Cinco De Mayo weekend.

Notice what lands often. That LEFT HOOK TO the head and Body. Canelo has changed nothing! Still flat footed and now even more out of shape.

cotto used to get rocked by 140 lbers all the time. he wasn't 19 years old at the time, either. he was in his mid 20's, and had a robust amateur background.

if cotto's banking on fighting the same guy that fought his brother he is f#cking ******ed.

It's true, a 19 year old Canelo got wobbled a bit. Cotto is right.

Yeah, when Cotto was a zombie making 140. Canelo was at his "natural weight" and getting rocked.
