Comments Thread For: Vargas To Ask WBO For Immediate Bradley Rematch

Jessie Vargas (26-1, 9KOs) is still upset with last month's twelve round decision loss to Timothy Bradley last month in Los Angeles. They fought for the vacant WBO welterweight title.

Vargas is angered over the closing moments of the twelfth and final round, when Bradley was in serious trouble. As Vargas was trying to finish the fight, referee Pat Russell became confused after believing he had heard the final bell and jumped in to stop the fight. It quickly became clear that Russell had stopped the fight eight seconds too early.

For crying out loud man, you got dominated and landed one single punch that had meaning. Other than that, you got owned the entire fight and you don't deserve a rematch, go cry to your roid using trainer.

That ending justifies a rematch IMO.

Dude...come...on...it was target practice for 11 rounds, 2 minutes, and 40 Seconds of the fight . Waited for that big counter shot...and waited...and waited...

You know how a boxer will get hit with a big shot, and they'lI take it personally, and pick up the pace? Number one to win the round, and secondly, to show the opponent that they weren't hurt or vulnerable.

Throughout the fight, Bradley would come over the top with a HARD right hand. Vargas would take it and continue to stare at Bradley, like nothing happened ! Nice shot to my dome, thank you! Do something, lol!

If Bradley threw MORE than one punch, it would then wake Vargas up. Vargas would then actually let his hands go and catch Bradley with a hard shot that would freeze him in his tracks. That was few and far between though.

HBO is not gonna take this unnecessary rematch, if it's televised at all, so why bother?

Go away Vargas. Outside of being a "young hungry lion" to the Bobtrrds, ur not that great. This guys lucky Bob has only 2-3 fighters at welter for his ****house rematches, recycled garbage fights. Even then, hes still irrelevant. Fk you,Bob.
