USF Sundome, Tampa, Florida - Keith Thurman (26-0, 22KOs) retained his WBA 'regular' welterweight championship with a sixth round stoppage of former beltholder Luis Collazo (36-7, 19KOs).
Thurman was picking his spots, using his legs and throwing combinations when he got Collazo in close. Collazo never stopped coming forward and looking to land punches.
The tide slowly changed in the fifth round, as Collazo badly hurt Thurman to the body with a hard left hook. Thurman used to his legs to stay away for the final 15 seconds of the round to get out of trouble as Collazo was looking to hurt him there again.
