Comments Thread For: Khan Explains Why He's Big Enough For Mayweather

British star Amir "King" Khan (31-3, 19KOs) says he is more than a big enough name to take on WBC/WBO/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (48-0, 26KOs) on September 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Mayweather recently brushed Khan off when asked if he was willing to face the Bolton fighter in the fall. While he said in a few interviews that Khan's name did not have enough value, Mayweather named Andre Berto and Karim Mayfield as his potential opponents for the upcoming Showtime pay-per-view. Mayweather claims the fight will be the final bout of his pro career.

The following Khan has got in places like Pakistan don't even know what a boxing glove looks like, they have very few sporting heros and have no money to watch anyway so that makes them pointless.
The fans in the uk and America know that Khan is a fraud and how he ran from Brook was/is an embarrassment. The reason he gave for that runner was Brook has been disrespectful and therefore that's why there's no fight .Khan conveniently forgets to say that Mayweather among many things called him a nobody... hardly the height of respect hey!
More over Khan is trying to blag his way in as he always tries to do but now most fans in the know see this and after his last 'statement fight' against the very average Chris A. where he said he was going to make a massive statement against this hand picked 'last resort opponent' who had been decked nine times in his last two.........!
He did the only statement this fraud and liar made was he is many levels below a fight like Mayweather and if he is ever allowed to fight a welterweight contender that will be the last you hear of ole glass jaw ....over and out , the story of his career.

Khan being popular in countries that don't watch boxing and generate no revenue does nothing for him.

The UAE knows about Floyd very well; when Dubai started its all boxing/MMA channel Floyd vs Canelo was the fight they started it with.

Khan v Mayweather brings more PPVs than Thurman, Porter or Brook.

What a retarted statement. What does hand speed have to do with defense? Khant has fast hands but is really predictable moving in and out. Floyd would be able to time him and land clean punches at will.

We know you want to say it, Khan. Go ahead and say it!

Say, "I'm more popular than Floyd and Pacquiao."
