IBF middleweight champion David Lemieux (34-2, 31KOs) has no problem getting in the ring with WBA/IBO champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (33-0, 30KOs).
Lemieux captured the vacant title on Friday night with a twelve round unanimous decision over Hassan N'Dam, who went down four times in the contest.
There seems to be a conflict of information, with Lemieux's promoter Oscar De La Hoya of Golden Boy stating that his fighter is unable to face Golovkin until 2016 - because the IBF has ordered Lemieux to first make a mandatory defense. Golovkin's promoter Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions contacted the IBF and claims they are fine with sanctioning a Lemieux unification.
