When Lara was stalking Canelo, PBC did not exist and I do not even know if Lara was signed with Haymon at that point in time. Things have changed since then and now Lara needs to clear anything he does with Haymon before hand and Haymon does not want any bad publicity for his little enterprise right now.

Luis DeCubas' mouth wrote that check for Lara's ass in the post fight interview last Friday. Plenty of time for Lara to have training camp for a Sept. fight...if he really wants it(which he doesn't lol)

Golovkin is looking out for his legacy /payday as is lara/ward . See ggg needs canelo cotto so he should bust his ass to get them to fight him. And lara (ward not so much would help his popularity ) needs golovkin to get a marquee name on his resume.
