Comments Thread For: Amir Khan: I'd Love a Danny Garcia Rematch

British welterweight contender Amir Khan (30-3, 19KOs) said he could see himself avenging his loss to Danny Garcia (30-0, 17KOs) in the future if he gets past Chris Algieri on Friday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Khan was dropped three times and stopped in the fourth round of his bout with Garcia in 2012 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, which caused some to call for the British fighter to retire. Khan would love another shot at the Philly fighter.

Most re-matches are only made if the fight was really close?

Khan got spanked by Danny Swift.

It was a decisive stoppage, no controversy whatsoever.

Wait for Khantards to say; "Khan was dominating in the first 3 rounds doe"

Angel got under Khan's skin at the presser - Khan told everyone he would KO Danny, got reckless and got KTFO.

          End of story.

Garcia is a loss Khan shud avenge, given Garcia is still at the top level

Hopefully when Danny moves up to 147, we get to see this fight again.

There is also a fair bob in it for both of them as far as purse

Hold on, why are rematches exclusive to close fights? If the loser works his way up back to a solid position, a rematch is more than feasible. By your logic, we would never have got Ali-Frazier 2. Also, garcia has looked awful lately and a win which he knows he can get would earn back some credibility.

Whether you think Khan destroys garcia or gets KO'd in 1 is irrelavant, a rematch was turned down by Garcia and the fight is still plausible.

I'd be down with this. I think Khan can get a points decision if the judging is fair.
