Comments Thread For: Algieri's Promoter: Khan Gets Shocked Like Provodnikov

New York — To quote a Yogi Berra-ism, Bronx-based promoter Joe DeGuardia says it will be "deja vu all over again" when Star Boxing’s, Chris Algieri, squares off against Amir Khan at the Barclays Center on Friday night, May 29. In other words, the underdog Algieri will pull off the upset just as he did against Ruslan Provodnikov last year at the same Brooklyn venue.

          Look at their recent opposition:

          Algieri- Pacman, Proovodnikov, Emmanuel Taylor

          Khanman- Alexander, Collazo, C. Molina

This is actually a step up for Khan and also based on his comp, how is Khanman considered a"top guy" @147? bcuz hes fast? So he can be a top guy without ever having to face a top welter?

This fights gonna be a battle of attrition with Khan going life and death with Chris Algieri, exchanging multiple knock downs Algieri stops Khan mid to late rounds with khans corner throwing in the white towel
Khans a chump, plain and simple. Its kind of hard to rip Algieri when hes been competing on a higher level that Khanman hasnt seen in years.

EDIT: I honestly dont think this willbe as easy for Khanman as most think...there are levels to boxing and when the presumed underdog has been fightn better comp on a higher level than the favorite, i think that itll play a role in this fight. Itll be funny as he11 if Algieri made easy work of Khanman.

There are levels to boxing and i dont believe for one second, a guy can fight at the level Khan has been and beat the best fighter in the world. Not happening. You dont want that fight neway.

                Who wrote this?

                "The Algieri (20-1, 8 KOs)"

THE ALGIERI.. what a beastly name

Algieri will need a very busy jab to offset Khan's speed.

Algieri is a solid warrior and can't be overlooked. Khan needs to come in with his A-game.

Hahahahaha Algieri a warrior man that is one of the funniest things I have ever heard. Listen, Algieri is a scrub who is not going to last more than 6 rounds with Khan. Soon he will be an assistant TA at your local college. This match is specifically set up to make Khan look good in Haymon's grand design.
