Andre Ward unified his division. He already fought in the big unification matches in his weight class.

GGG hasn't unified a damn thing. He's basically unproven. His opponents are mostly constituted of average fighters with average to below average skillsets.

Meanwhile Ward has already been in with POUND FOR POUND level comp.

What about GGG? What top 20 pound for pound has he been in with?

Kovalev's best victory is over a 50 year old Bernard Hopkins. LOL! SMH

Kov and GGG are two untested, overrated, hyped, HBO created, slow, modern day Great White Hypes!

Just like the Klitshkos have been feasting on BUMS for decades it seems like, ironically, so have GGG and Kovalev. Hmmmmm...

Terrance Crawford has already been matched tougher than GGG/Kov. So has Canelo and by a wide margin.

GGG and Kov will always be leaps and bounds BEHIND Andre Ward from a skill perspective.

Andre is quicker than both of those stiff backed hypejobs. He fights with more ring intelligence and athleticism. Can't hit what you can't find. Plus his counters are nasty.

Andre will rough both of these boys up real good. After Ward beats either one of these stiff backs, the forum will be crying just as loud as the Pacquiao fan base was on May 3rd. LOL!

Bernard Hopkins has been on record for years now saying he'll never fight Andre Ward. Yet at 50 years old, he risked his health to fight Kovalev. And still went 12 with him. LOL!

Yet believers of the good ol HYPE TRAIN believe these two are ready for Andre Ward.

    Roger Mayweather never lied.....

I personally don't care when these fights happen, just that they do eventually. Hopefully not 5/6 years like that other fight but in the next year or 2.

I completely understand Golovkin chasing the money fights with Cotto/Canelo etc at the lower weights.

I completely understand Ward staying at 168.

The only thing that makes no sense is the hypocrisy from both fan bases.

Right, because Wladimir Klitschko isn't white or anything...

Also, Gennady Golovkin is half white/half asian.

GGG's team before ward was inactive:

            "We'll fight anyone 154-168"

            how about ward?

"That fight doesn't make financial sense right now. We'll fight Chavez JR instead"

So, you'll fight chavez jr at 168 for no belt, no p4p rankings, just $$$, but won't fight ward for the lineal 168 lbs title and a shot at the p4p rankings?

What's not to understand about GGG? The guy is a NATURAL middleweight. There is no reason for him to change division until he starts having trouble making weight and there are no more opponents to fight. Cotto is a MW champ and Canelo fights at MW and weighs as much if not more than GGG does on fight night. There is no 'lower weights' involved there.

As for Ward, if he wants to remain at 168 then he has to fight all contenders and title holders. And that includes the Dirrells if they have a title. No more Paul Smiths. His next fight should be against Chudinov at the very least or he can fight Ramirez. He has to stay active in the division, fighting once every year and a half does not cut it.

                Golovkin is a middleweight.

At middleweight there are Canelo and Cotto, regardless of whether you think Cotto is too small or whatever, if he holds the lineal strap and campaigns there he should relinquish the belt or step into the lions den.

Ward is taller, longer and naturally heavier than GGG, not only that but other than 168 there aren't many meaningful fights at 168 which is an overrated division.

Ward is the B side. They should meet at 164.

No catch weight. Golovkin did not ask for one against Chavez Jr. and should not ask for one against Ward, if the fight ever happens. You can either fight in a division or you cannot. This catchweight crap has to end. You really want a catchweight? OK, keep the fight to 10 rounds or less and no title should ever be on the line.

LMFAO at this SHOOK Cotto stan!!!!!!

PLEASE WARD COME TO THE RESCUE, DON'T HURT MY COTTO, PLEASE LEAVE HIM ALONE YOU BREAK MY BORICUA HEART

If Cotto is too small LEAVE MIDDLEWEIGHT.

Ward is a super middle and GGG has unfinished business and bigger fights at 160.

You don't have a leg to stand on!

                      Fair point.

But GGG has no reason to move up when he has bigger fish to fry in his own division.

If anyone should be hunting for the fight it's Ward, as there is NO ONE at 168 who brings dat papah.

GGG has Cotton and Canelo who are bigger money and will bring him more attention than Ward.
