... But would Floyd fight Cotto instead for the MW lineal belt, at 155?
    Maybe he would.

Who really wants to see a 38 year old past prime has been with no legs school a "drained" middle weight at 154?

Mayweather vs Kovalev not at all an apt comparison.
Floyd weighs 150 on fight night. GGG weighed 170 last night. Miss me with those meaningless belts. You have to be sick in the head to want to see this.

Flo mos like you would love it, if it was realistic. But much more likely he he gets massacred, which some would also like to see. Not me though

I still don't get your point though. Mayweather was willing to move up to 154 and take fights a few times over the last several years, and most recently fought Canelo @ catchweight of 152. I'm not sold on the fact that he couldn't make another fight where he fought in 150s. Likewise, GGG and his trainer are willing to take a fight at 154 for Mayweather.

As far as I can see, the two fighters can both make the weight. That to me means that the fight is as fair game as any.

170 is pretty normal for a SWW. Even Lara was heavier vs Smith, as were Trout, Canelo etc. Floyd has been a champ there for 3 years straight.

haha, that sounded like a plead.

Its alright for Floyd to fight Cotto for the MW title but not Golovkin?

Sr should stfu about saying Floyd would beat Golovkin, Golovkin would destory him and thats fine, but dont block Golovkin from ruling the division just to nab another weight class title.

BINGO and that is the bottom line , if Floyd were to win its a drained GGG so really what is the point .

Cotto and Oscar were blown up welterweights late in their careers. Canelo is a natural 154 but would be a smallish MW. GGG is a full fledged MW. Not even close. And besides, all 3 of those fighters are PPV draws and those fights are among the biggest in boxing history when looking at numbers.

And besides that, the risk isn't worth the reward and nobody will get credit for winning.

He holds titles there which he hasn't and never will defend unless its worth the risk. Which GGG isn't.
