Comments Thread For: Pellulo: Matthysse-Provodnikov II Would Be Teriffic PPV

Last week krikya360.com caught up with Artie Pellulo of Banner Promotions to get his thoughts on the April 18th clash between Lucas Matthysse and Ruslan Provodnikov. Matthysse was hurt late in the fight but was able to hold on to win a close decision in a sure fire Fight of the Year candidate.

Pellulo called for a rematch immediately after the fight and feels that the fight may have played out differently if Provodnikov hadn't been cut by an accident headbutt early in the fight.

Rios would give Matthysse a better fight, which would make it more entertaining. Ruslan got beat up pretty bad. The fight only had some drama late. Rios is a step higher than Prov Imo.

          Golovkin vs Lemieux
          Lomachenko vs Walters
          Provodnikov vs Matthysse

I've always wondered how a ppv like this would do with 3 great main HBO main event type matches on it, but basically only for hardcore fans. It would kind of test how many boxing fans there really are in the US.

There's no way Provo does anything to Matty a second time, it'll be a carbon copy of the first fight. It'll be exciting cause Provo never stops but I don't wanna pay for something I already know the outcome to.

Pay per view.... What an efin joke, PPV for a fight where both fighters lose all their major fights lol yeah thats worth tbe extra money... I will NEVER pay for PPV for a ruslan fight, all he does is block with his face and hope for a haymaker... Hardly real boxing at all.

I agree! All boxing matches should cost money to watch.
