Comments Thread For: Arum: Floyd Mayweather Should Mind His Own Business

MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Top Rank CEO Bob Arum has advised Floyd Mayweather Jr. to mind his own business when it comes to the finances of Manny Pacquiao. Earlier in the day, Mayweather questioned the treatment of Pacquiao by Arum's company and manager Michael Koncz.

Mayweather Jr. explained some of the details from his chance meeting with Pacquiao at a Miami Heat game, in Florida, back in January. The two fighters met face to face, and had a conversation which both indicate was the turning point in their negotiations and ultimately led to a deal being finalized for Saturday's mega-fight showdown.

Tbh, I thought the same thing when I saw the hotel pacquiao was staying in....suite 909, or whatever it was... there are no world class hotels in Doral, so I was a bit surprised myself bob arum had Manny staying in the warehouse district of Miami.....smh

That was a very intelligent response from Bob Arum. Chicken Floyd should be taught how to act his age. Just too bad chicken Floyd is illiterate and the only role model he is looking up to is his daddy Floyd Sr. Like father like son. Ducking father, duckling son.

Arum is making at least $20 million in this fight by doing the bare minimum. This fight sells itself, and one can argue it could've been done a lot quicker if it wasn't for Arum's pettiness.

I'd love to hate him, but he knows the game and his years of experience has paid dividends. I think if, say Koncz (hypothetical) is the one speaking or promoting for Manny, he'd probably convince Pacquiao to take the flat fee offer. Though Arum's service comes with a hefty price tag, I'd have to say without him, Manny would probably be fighting for peanuts in this mega payday.
