    The president of the World Boxing Organization (WBO), Puerto Rico's Francisco "Paco" Valcarcel, described it as "negligence" for the World Boxing Council to insert a 'Diamond' world title in a match where neither fighter has any involvement with the World Boxing Council.

    This past Saturday night in Montreal, Sergey Kovalev fought Jean Pascal with the WBC's Diamond title at stake. But Kovalev is not a WBC champion. He holds the world titles of the three rival organizations - the WBA, WBO and IBF. Pascal rejected the idea of paying a sanctioning fee for a Diamond title and he also took a pass on the WBC's offer to pay a fee for a final title eliminator position.

      Valcarcel is a crybaby that's pissed cause the wbc belt is way better than the wbo's tin belt.

        Vacarcell refuses to have the WBO attend the main meetings that the WBC, IBF, And WBA Attend. Why don't we just be done with the WBO and replace them with the IBO.

        The WBC recognizes Kovalev as more of a champion than Chickenson ever was. However they have no reason to strip Chickenson. Not yet that is. Chickenson needs to be stripped of that belt for being a total Chicken.

              The WBC is the worst sanctioning body, followed closely by the WBA... and the WBO. Only the IBF is respectable.

                yall ppl really complimenting this? Wbo aka bob arum should be gone..we want champion vs champion wat is he talkin about..he wont even meet with the wbc, wba, and ibf...so force them out..we the fans have the power to make the wbo a worthless belt..and we should do so..

                  wbo can suck my ****...we all want kovalev-stevenson...why is this ******* trying to **** that up???

                  i get the part about unnecessary belts but this is ridic...kovalev is the best 175 lb fighters and adonis is his only real threat.

                  please make that fight instead of bickering about belts.

                    This is what the WBC always does. They're attention whores! Did the same thing with Cotto Pac. They couldn't just sit back and let the WBO rock.
