what are the obvious things you find to say a fight is fixed or staged?

Can a fixed fight or staged fight be proven?

has there been a notable fight that was proven to be fixed?

Let say you promoted a staged fight or a fix fight, when fans suspected that the fight you promoted was fixed what are the ready made reasons you can present to say that it is not?

2. Boxer A dived
3 Boxer B carried the fight
4. Ref paid off

I think it's a lot more common than most people think... Very common, but unless it's badly executed (Ali-Liston) you just seem like a tin foil hat by bringing it up so they usually get away with it.

The best way to shut down the accusations is probably guilt-tripping the accuser for "disrespecting these 2 warriors"... etc.

why is it that fixed fight could easily brushed off by "oh he is just a bum"?

Is there any organization in boxing that look into any and all suspected fixed fight?

is there any fight that you feel strongly that it was a fixed?

... Staging/fixing fights isn't difficult at all...
... Anyway, it happened and it happens in many other sports...

... The only problem is how to smartly put your money in betting...

Don't know if a fight has been prooven to be fixed.....i'm sure everybody suspects a few fights but how can anyone proove it? There are to many possibilities. We have all seen a robbery on the cards, we have all seen a fighter get up to late when they most likely could of got up sooner.

Plus in this day and age fighters lives are more exposed because of social media...and NSB lol. So when a fighter has issues outside the ring it gives possibilities to anyone in the know to encourage a fix.

Eg molina was sick and just recently lost two close people to him.....so people could of paid him to lose, could of been haymon etc etc.......then again he stood in range and didn't throw anything....so was broner paid to carry him???....and the same, paid by anyone.
That is only an example based on the most recent fight i heard someone say it was fixed....not my opinion!!!

It's very hard to actually prove it, especially when it comes to officials, because you can never fully discount incompetence.

Take Martinez-Williams 1. Pierre Benoist scored that fight 119-110 for Williams. How can you prove that he was on the take or was influenced by a close relationship with William's people, and that he wasn't just useless at his job?

Without a confession or a money trail it's pretty much impossible to 'prove' it.

Wilder-Scott and Mickey Rourke's comeback fight were fixed

those were blatant as **** dives, no matter how you try to spin it

I think a lot of the dives you see aren't corrupt at all - just guys trying to avoid a beating.

The most obviously corrupt fight I've seen is the first Maccarinelli vs McPhilbin fight. Enzo was clearly about to get KOed and have his career well and truly ended when the bell rang after 2 minutes of the round. Disgraceful.
