For several months, WBA/IBO/WBA-interim middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (32-0, 29KOs) has discussed the idea of moving down in weight to 154-pounds for a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. (47-0, 26KOs), who holds the WBC/WBA junior middleweight titles at the weight.
The boxer's manager, Max Hermann, says a fight with Mayweather is not realistic. It's just a fantasy dream for his boxer that will never come true. Golovkin is focused in unifying the division and wants the winner of the April fight between IBF middleweight champion Andy Lee and challenger Peter Quillin.
