"Relentless" Javier Prieto (24-7-2, 18KOs) is promising to impose his 'Mexican style' on former world champion Jorge "Golden Boy" Linares of Venezuela. Linares's record is 37-3, 24KOs. All three of Linares' defeats have come at the hands of Mexican fighters - Juan Carlos Salgado, Antonio DeMarco and Sergio "Yeyo" Thompson - and all of those defeats were by knockout.

On December 30th at the Metropolitan Gym in Tokyo, Linares and Prieto will battle for the vacant WBC lightweight title.
