I don't get it. Why are boxing fans so interested to see these so called "superstars" like Chavez, Canelo etc fight so much. I can understand casuals that no nothing about the sport watch, but why are fans calling to see Froch fight Chavez.

This guy is so average.

I don't think serious fans are really all that interested in Chavez Jr as a boxer, but the guy has topped annual TV ratings twice now despite spending most of his time smoking weed and eating burgers. His story obviously has some appeal.

Chavez has fans. Froch has fans. Styles give us an exciting fight, even though Chavez loses (hey what if something magical happens) he still clocks Froch a few times in exchanges and withstands punishing blows to make the crowd 'ooh' and 'aah.' It would be a memorable battle.

Froch has pondered retirement, so it seems he wants to cash out on vaca de dinero Chavez Jr.

I guess ratings don't lie, but I'll never get the appeal to serious boxing fans. It's almost like the real fans are also being brainwashed to thinking Chavez is a legit fighter.

I honestly don't think he'd be competitive at all. Maybe have a couple of moments but that's it. I hope we don't get served this crap. But then if anyone deserves an easy retirement payday, it's Froch.

I'm a Froch fan who wants to see the Chavez fight because it fulfills one of Froch's dreams as he nears retirement. He deserves that payday and he deserves to be the guy who beats the **** out of Chavez and ruins the payday for everyone else.

If the guy trained properly he would be such a better fighter. He has chin, stamina and decent power. I don't like him but have to recognize those facts.

I think Froch deserves a pay day and this one should be fun as long as it lasts
