It's a decent article. It certainly appeared that he could have gotten up and chose not to. Whether it was a fix, fear of the black ******s, or just not wanting to deal with Ali anymore, nobody will ever know.

Liston was waiting for the ref to get Ali out of the way, the ref lost the count, Liston thought he got up in time. What is so strange about a fighter waiting until he hears "8" until he he gets up?

Sonny didn't get up because he was a Bum who never fought anybody and Ali made him his *****.

Liston is the most overrated fighter in history.

If Mike Tyson had quit against Toney Tucker and never fought again.....that's what Sonny Liston really was.

He did get up and the ref originally said that he got up in time.

Well Floyd weighed about 180 and had a weak chin. I'm not taking those 2 fights away from Sonny, but seriously lok at his Boxrec page and tell me what you'd be saying about him if he was a current fighter...........

Yeah that's true but he thought the fight was over. He was surprised the ref let them start fighting again. He did stay down for like 14 seconds, and when he got up and started fighting again he didn't look like he had been hurt at all.
