Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport has confirmed that they have signed Wishaw's Charlie Flynn; the youngster won the lightweight gold medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and has opted to turn over while he is still a hot commodity. Hearn Tweeted the news of the latest edition to his promotional stable earlier today. The 21-year-old will make his professional bow on December 14; he will be managed by Alex Morrison and trained by Peter Harrison, the father of former WBO world featherweight titlist Scott.

Matchroom could do really well with this guy, he was one of the poster boys of the whole games, the public loved him, he's talkative, looks about 12 and has a pro-suited style. Good pickup.
