    When Sergey Kovalev had his tryout match on a Main Events undercard 29 months ago, he earned $5,000. When he topped Bernard Hopkins this past Saturday, he earned at least 100 times that amount at a minimum of half a million bucks. Another report had him pulling in more than $1 million.

    Now that Kovalev has unified three world titles and beaten Hopkins, his next bout should be “the best deal,” according to his promoter, Kathy Duva of Main Events.

      One good win and the legacy has been built according to Duva. Why are all boxing promoters blood suckers?

          If anyone deserves a payday it's Kovalev. He's more than paid his dues. Fighting virtually for free for 3 years... unbelievable.
