Comments Thread For: Pacquiao: Not Using Mayweather's Name To Push My PPV

WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao rejects the claims of Floyd Mayweather Jr., who says the Filipino boxer is using his name to bring more attention to his November 22nd HBO Pay-Per-View title defense against Chris Algieri in Macau, China. It's being said by Pacquiao, and his management, that he wants to fight Mayweather next.

Because of Mayweather's verbal attacks, Pacquiao is now refusing to discuss their highly demanded mega-fight until after the Algieri pay-per-view has concluded.

Good response by Pacquaio. Having a masters degree is not going to help Algieri at all, because any nutritionist worth a damn will have all the knowledge a masters degree grants you regardless.

Manny Pacquiao get's a pass for anything, no matter how big the fckery is. This Pac Algieri build up first started with Manny's camp calling out Mayweather everyday, then they mentioned Danny Garcia, then they started talking about moving down to 140, then Bob Arum offered jessica vergas a fight with Manny...all this while Pac Algieri hasn't even happened smh... i wish they would be consistent with their statements just once

            Gotta love Pacquiao!!!

And if you hate Pacquiao.... The reality is... you only hate him, because people love him.. ask Mayweather about that.

Something seems amiss here , a few weeks ago indeed Manny , Arum and Roach were using Floyds name to sell the fight , every second comment from any of them was about Floyd , and then overnight like a light switch it stopped and then Arum made a statement that Jessie Vargas is likely to be next for Manny , seems like there are big pieces missing from this article .

I'm pretty certain if everyone on these message boards was a top fighter and mentioning another fighters name could possibly sell more tickets and get more buys that translates to money, everyone here would be doing the same thing. That's why it does not bother me if either guys mentions the other fighter. Some get all bent out of shape over a fighter using another fighters name but that is too trivial to matter.
