Against the Froch of the past few years, who would be fully cognizant of Jones' abilities, probably not. The knockdown against Taylor was at the start of Froch's long streak and he didn't have the experience he does now. Likewise the Groves KD was coming onto a gigantic overhand right from a huge puncher, and althought RJJ is obviously very powerful at 168 I'm not sure that his left hook (which is his principal weapon) is better suited to KOing Froch than Groves' straight right. Don't get me wrong, I still think RJJ beats Froch handsomely, he's too fast, and it's possible, if Froch was really pressing and got caught heavily, that he would have been able to hurt him. But on balance, no.

He just might stop him!! Every time Froch jab comes out Jones will be dropping his right hand over it that's for sure. Froch has the poorest jab I've ever seen, he telegraphs it then he rows it back or drops it!
I can see Jones at his best short stepping to his right and chopping a right hand right over Froch left shoulder then following with a left upper cut!
Froch is the most wide open "top tier" fighter I've ever seen.
At 160 through 175 he'd never be in any discussion with the best or greatest ever. He has guts and he's willing and he should be admired for that but his skill levels are ordinary at best.
Jones stops him late!!!

I don't believe anyone stops Froch. Heart is too big, chin and grit are too strong.
Still, RJJ would win just about every round. Too fast, too good.
