Comments Thread For: Artur Beterbiev Batters Tavoris Cloud For 2nd Round KO

Sergey Kovalev and Bernard Hopkins square off later this year in a bout with three light heavyweight belts at stake. Adonis Stevenson is the recognized lineal light heavyweight king.

All three need to begin looking over their collective shoulders, because Artur Beterbiev is already hot on the trail.

The former amateur standout from Russia - who now calls Montreal home - stepped up in class but looked like a world beater in annhilating former light heavyweight titlist Tavoris Cloud. Four knockdowns led to a second round knockout in their main event Saturday evening at Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. [Click Here To Read More]

Don't get why Ring had Cloud ranked Top 5 when he's essentially coming off 3 uncompetitive loses.

The Russians/Eastern Euro's are taking over LHW. Beterbiev seems legit, KOvalev is whether he wins or loses against B-Hop. The dude out of Robert Garcia's gym, Gvozdyk is the goods too, and the gold medalist Mekhontsev might be real too

Yes, Cloud has been very durable, in fact he'd never been down in a fight.

I thought Beterbiev would need a few rounds to break him down.

They're doing it to hype up Stevenson and Hopkins and make it seem like they're going up against relevant competition. But that won't fool us boxing fans. We knew that Cloud was never good.

This is exactly the same Cloud who faced Hopkins and Stevenson. He was just never good to begin with. This had nothing to do with one fighter taking away his soul or w/e. It's the same guy who took a savage beating against a very underrated fighter.

Because the LHW division is kind of thin and he was a name who had a belt. I think they had Murat up there for a while too.... after his loss
