Saying that the testing was no problem then saying they can't do it.
Changing their fight dates to avoid Floyd after saying they wanted to fight him next in May.
Turning down his offer of 40 after saying they didn't care about the money, only to come back and say it was a low ball offer only to turn and ask him to fight for charity..................?
Telling people they were in negotiations with Floyd only to turn and admit that they never actually talked to anyone directly involved with him about the fight?
I mean you guys can't be that slow to fall for their smoke and mirror campaign.

I can see a way out, as I told you before (I think), have Manny pay a step aside fee to Arum, out of his purse ($40 million plus a PPV cut), and let Floyd promote the fight on Showtime. HBO (Merchant and Lampley) have been very disrespectful too. It's a long shot but if Floyd still wouldn't fight Manny, after agreeing to that, I would start calling him a duck too.
That's neither here nor there though, if we can convert as mature adults I'd like to say that I like the highlighted idea you came up with above, but I'd like to hear it from Mayweather.. You see THIS would be a step in the right direction instead of talking about Manny's ppv #'s being a joke which is a joke itself being that none of Floyd's opponents since Cotto ever had a PPV event. Floyd can come out and say look I want the fight just as much as anyone else, but I won't work with Arum so let's cut a deal to keep him out and make the fight happen.. THEN the ball is in Pac's court. Of course that's ONLY if Pac gets by Algieri which I don't see happening.
Honestly speaking as fan of boxing that rarely plays favorites and doesn't choose sides right now I could care less if this fight happened.. It SHOULD HAVE happened in 2009 and for me personally the interest isn't there anymore.
That said I believe neither cares to make this fight happen as much as the fans do.. They just get tired of the media asking the same questions over and over so they take shots at each-other out of frustration.
Back when Floyd first made the testing demands I thought it was laughable being that I've never heard of such a demand in boxing history lol, BUT I thought it was a fair enough demand with all the money that was on the table for both guys.. When Arum announced they were walking away from the table due to the demands I thought he was being petty and should have just gave Floyd what he wanted, BUT it was Floyd that gave Arum the out.. From what I remember everything was set to go before the blood testing demands. Floyd gave Bob a way out of the fight and he took it.. That said, I did think it was fishy of Pac's team to walk away from all that money due to blood testing demands. Both sides were to blame.
Fast forward to before the Victor Ortiz fight, I don't remember any real negotiating taking place between Team Floyd and Team Pac except through the media.. I remember Bob saying Pac would agree to all the testing and team Floyd saying it wasn't true. My memory is a bit sketchy and I'm too lazy to start googling so if you remember anything that I don't please enlighten me.
Fast forward to 2012, just before the infamous 40 million dollar offer.. I believe the call from Floyd came after Pac's 3rd match with Marquez in which most would agree JMM probably should have won (I had it 8-4 JMM). I believe Floyd saw some kinks in Pac's armor and this was actually the most vocal Floyd ever was about making the fight happen, calling Pac out all over social media pretty much. Then BOOM, Floyd makes the infamous call.. When I first heard about the 40 mill offer with no ppv again I thought it was completely laughable being that both fighters probably would have generated $50 to $100 Million from this fight easily.. I mean seriously people were gladly willing to pay $100 and up to watch this fight on PPV. Plus a majority of boxing fans felt 50/50 was fair or at the very least 60-40 to Floyd. I believe this was around the time Bob was talking about the stadium or whatever and that Pac had some kind of injury that wouldn't be ready for May.. Again Both were at fault, BUT Floyd was the aggressor while Bob was the one making excuses so blame goes to team Pac this time imo.
Fast forward to TODAY.. In the here and the now. Pac is the aggressor, he's the guy saying "My number is open 24/7" or whatever.. I even believe he tried to personally visit Floyd, but Floyd went on vacation or some ish. Now the easy thing to say is "Oh Pac has tax problems and he's desperate".. I honestly don't think his tax issues are that bad and that he just wants to make it happen for the fans and to shut the media up. One can say hey, he shouldn't have re-signed with Arum and that's a fair point.. He should have at least attempted to make the Floyd fight before resigning, but I believe I remember Floyd making some more ridiculous demands about signing with TMT and fighting some of his guys first lol.. just laughable ish. Right now Floyd seems to be the one that does not want to make this fight happen.
Like I said your idea above makes sense, but I'd like to hear that from Floyd himself.. And I'd like to hear it without some other absurd demands attached to it like "Oh, Pac has to sign a 3 fight deal with Mayweather promotions first in order to make it happen".. Just allow Floyd and showtime to promote the event while giving Bob Arum and Top Rank some step aside money on 1- fight deal. That simple.. Honestly without Top Rank or Golden boy involved the undercard would be utter shiet unless some of the Haymon guys can be a part of it somehow, but anyway nobody will give a rat's ass about the undercard.. They just want to see Floyd vs Pac.
Bottom line is the fans need to stop playing fanboy and call out BOTH sides if they really want to see this fight. Still they can see it after my boy Algieri beats Pac haha.. jk, but I am picking Algieri to upset Pac-Man.Last edited by jso416; 09-26-2014, 05:59 PM.

Did they all of the sudden forget? Whats the excuse not to mention a detail that is apparently so big that they didn't make a fight over it?
They used that as an excuse, plain as day. Your telling me it took them two weeks to come back and say...you know what Manny has a problem giving blood.
The only explanation I can think of as to why an immediate post fight blood test was unacceptable by Floyd is fear. Fear that Pacquiao would batter him or fear that Pacquiao didn't care if he tested positive after the fight.
