    LOL
Showtime and Golden Boy Promotions announced that the pay-per-view generated "well over 350,000 buys" for Alvarez's one-sided 10th-round knockout of his Mexican countryman. The pay-per-view grossed at least $20 million.

The figures are a far cry from what Mayweather-Alvarez did in September, when their fight generated a record pay-per-view haul of $150 million and sold 2.2 million units, second-best in history. However, Alvarez-Angulo cost much less to put on and was never expected to approach the Mayweather figures.

"We are thrilled with the numbers from Saturday's event," Showtime Sports chief Stephen Espinoza said. "March 8 was the first time Canelo Alvarez headlined his own pay-per-view, and he decisively proved that he was ready to carry a pay-per-view card. These results are especially impressive in comparison to the pay-per-view performances of other boxing events over the past few months."

Espinoza said the number of buys is an initial estimate.

"It could be significantly higher when more numbers come in, but right now we know that it's easily over 350,000," Espinoza said.

And is that 925K 'official' now? Every time journalists asked him about it, he declined comment. Does that count as a release despite him not releasing figures any more?

Over/Under 6 months before this clown is fired?

Go to work tomorrow and ask "casuals" if they've ever heard of Danny Garcia...

Canelo-Angulo was reported at 350K and Canelo-Lara was reported at 300K, so it's safe to assume Espinoza means Canelo-Angulo did 325K and Canelo-Lara did 230K.

The thing I take away from this is Canelo-Lara was very anticipated within the boxing community, it was the fight we all wanted for Canelo, and they only did 230K.

Cotto-Martinez also was very anticipated within the boxing community. It was the fight we all wanted to see for Cotto, and they only did a reported 350K, which was probably closer to 300K in reality.

So Cotto and Canelo both coming off the fights that boxing fans wanted to see them in did a combined ~550K. Compare that to Mayweather's fights vs. Guerrero, Maidana I, and Maidana II, all of which did ~800K each.

I think what boxing fans are most afraid of finding out is that Hispanic fighters do not control the PPV money like everyone wants us to believe. Imagine if Mayweather (African-American) vs. Khan (Pakistani-British) does more PPV buys than Cotto (Puerto Rican) vs. Canelo (Mexican).

The boxing world would be thrown for a loop.

The People who I work with know who danny garcia is. They say, you mean the Danny Garcia who knocked out Amir Khan out, Yeah he is terrific.

Me: I wouldn't say he is terrific, but he is a good fighter.

Floyd never said Garcia had Herrera problems. Floyd said Khan has Garcia and Prescott problems. When he says a fighter has problems with another fighter, He will not fight them.
