Word came last week that Floyd Mayweather Jr. could be making significant changes to his team. The pound-for-pound king told Ben Thompson of FightHype.com that he and his longtime assistant and CEO of Mayweather Promotions, Leonard Ellerbe, were outgrowing each other.
Among the issues Mayweather told Thompson about: the fact that Mayweather’s four titles in two divisions were on the line in the rematch with Marcos Maidana; his daughter not being seated with the girl’s mother at the fight; and Floyd Mayweather Sr. not having a credential to work another boxer’s corner earlier on the card.
