Comments Thread For: Kovalev Eyes KO: Caparello Better Learn How To Run!

ATLANTIC CITY – Sergey Kovalev offered Blake Caparello some blunt, concise advice through third parties.

“He better learn how to run,” Kovalev said.

Caparello can box, but the Australian southpaw is a 12-1 underdog given little chance by most boxing experts of upsetting Kovalev (24-0-1, 22 KOs) and sabotaging Kovalev’s tentatively scheduled showdown with IBF/WBA light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins (56-5-2, 32 KOs, 2 NC).

No... He was asked who has hit him the hardest so far? In which he answered my mother. Cap knows this guy can punch. He will be boxing (running in the mind of some), but I believe he goes down in 5. I personally would like to see him win, lost a ton of respect for Kov after signing the B-hop fight already. Very disrespectful in my mind.

Smart, no? If he loses v Caparello he still has the Hopkins payday.

I think the contract states he must beat Caparello so it's a unification fight

Ah okay, well then it is a bit disrespectful to publicise it before the fight. Should've waited to announce it after the fight.
