    Too many people disrespecting Cotto.
Many forgot Cotto wouldve easily last the last round against Pacquaio but was stopped out of pit by the ref, wasnt even getting tagged anymore since he went on the back foot.
Margarito might have possibly been cheating.
Mayweather fight was close almost a pickem.

Froch also never fought anyone on the level of pacquaio/mayweather(ward comes closest).

Tough one, but I've got to give it to Rockin' - 4-3, Baby!

No one in this thread is disrespecting Cotto. And you can only give so much credit for losses. You can't say Cotto's resume is better based on his competitve losses to great fighters.

Mayweather, Manny, and Mosley are 3 sure fire HOF'ers if they retired today. Froch has not fought anyone, including Ward, who is in that category, which make cotto's resume better.

Or do you mean Mosley? That's arguable.
Mosley win was greater than anything in frochs resume. I don't think it's that debatable.

Why are fights where Cotto got his ass kicked on his list? Am I supposed to give him credit for getting stomped?

EDIT: And Ward, where Froch got dominated. Why list those? What credit should he get for that fight?

Both men have faced very good opposition overall. Martinez was overrated and ready to be beat when Cotto KOed him but Cotto did look great in that fight. Overall resume favors Froch in my opinion. You can't just pretend Cotto wasn't outboxed three times and KOed twice in his prime.
                Trout, Mayweather and.....?

So if cotto was allowed to finish the last round against Pac then that would of changed the fact that he got beaten to a bloody pulp?

Its also possible that Margarito wasnt cheating.

The Mayweather fight was not close to a pickem fight.

There is no disrespect, people are only stating what happened.

                    Miguel Cotto legendary resume:
                    - Mosley
                    - Martinez
                    - Malignaggi
                    - Carlos Quintana
                    - Ricardo Mayorga
                    - Judah
                    - Clottey
                    - Torres

                    Carl Froch legendary resume:
                    - Mikkel Kessler
                    - Groves twice
                    - Jermain Taylor
                    - Lucien Bute
                    - Jean Pascal
                    - Glen Johnson
                    - Arthur Abraham
Just looking at the fights I thought they won listed here, I'd say Froch has the edge. Cotto's the better fighter though. Which makes Froch's resume all the more impressive.

A fighters career isn't just about wins. A resume is supposed to provide detail of your career. Including the losses gives perspective. A close loss to a HOF fighter your expected to lose to is a better indicator of one's status than a 1 rd destruction of an overrated average fighter you were expected to destroy.
