Not saying he isn't very good, but the Floyd fight pretty much showed the limit of his potential. He's flat footed, he wants the fight to come to him.

GGG has more power, better footwork, better defense, way more aggressive, he's just better. He has the potential to actually be a Chavez-esque destroyer.
Too bad Trout, Lara, Angulo, Rhodes, old Mosley, Cintron, Gomez, NDou have losses to a wanna be boxer pretty boy who's never going to be **** according to a lot of you.

Funny how fighters who actually fight the best get shat on, while these KO artists fighting overmatched opponents get hyped up as the next best thing. Canelo has been underdog in like 3 fights already, GGG hasn't been and he won't be underdog with fighting in such a **** division and waiting for these 5'8", 5' 7" dudes who can't even weigh 160lbs at the scale eating steak and potatoes to fight him. FFS Cotto weighed 155lbs in a 159lb limit MW fight. Mayweather weighed 150lbs in his last JMW fight. These are the guys GGG wants to fight, WTF, why is this allowed for GGG but for other fighters is murder?

GGG is in a no-win situation.

Nobody at MW wants to fight him - Froch and Chavez Jr don't seem to want to fight him at 168, Ward hasn't fought in I don't remember how long now

He can probably drop to 154 but who would fight him there? Canelo?

It's tough being a GGG fan in that environment and easy to be a GGG hater.

Iamgine GGG was in the 147 division when Floyd retired with Cotto, Pac, Pwill, Margarito, Clottey and Mosley

He was talking about Canelo fighting better competition than GGG. That's precisely because he's a bigger star than GGG and has an easier time getting fights. Are you a casual? I shouldn't have to explain that to a knowledgeable fan.

His stardom is the result of his ability + his nationality. And he got heavily promoted by a big mexican network at a very early age. So it's ****** to brag about his accomplishments relative to his age, as if it's solely because of his skills.

Cotto is the lineal champ at middleweight. GGG never wanted to fight him prior to Cotto becoming the lineal champ. GGG wanted to fight Sergio and Quiling cause they are/were champions in his weight division, now he wants to fight Cotto and Quilin cause they are champions in his weight division. How hard is this to understand?

Just cause GGG is a huge puncher it doesn't mean it's unfair to fight at MW when he can make the weight and much bigger fighters than him such as Pavlik, Taylor and Hopkins have campaigned longer than him at this weight class.

If somebody asks him, would you want to fight Mayweather? What is he supposed to say? No, I don't want to test my skills against the best p4p guy in boxing.

Whatever helps you deal with the fact that GGG is superior in every way.

I like both fighters by the way, Canelo gets the red carpet treatment so he's supposed to get big fights, you shouldn't brag about it.

Every time someone from 147-168 is asked who they'd like to fight, chances are you'll get a lot of responses like Canelo/Mayweather/Cotto/Pac/Chavez. You can count on both hands the guys that would fight 3G. Mora, Vera....Lara...Molina...Soliman? It seems like there's more fighters that can't/won't fight GGG than there are guys who want to.

GGG/Soliman should be next. The worse thing that 3G could do is wait around for the biggest names.

Yup, which is why it's ****** to brag about Canelo getting in the ring with better opposition. It's not like he earned his fame on ability alone.

I'd be disappointed by that matchup, but I can't blame GGG's promoter for wanting him to stay at 160 until it's clear Cotto won't fight him.

                    Is Abraham still around?

He's fighting for the WBO belt in September. That would be an intriguing match-up. Abraham is a style that suits GGG very well.
