MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (44-1-1, 31KOs) believes he got the last laugh over his Cuban rival, WBA 'regular' junior middleweight champion Erislandy Lara (19-2-2, 12KOs).

On Saturday they night they met in the ring, at a catch-weight of 155-pounds, with Canelo winning a close twelve round split decision. Lara was tabbed as the winner by one judge with a card of 115-113, while the other two scores of 117-111 and 115-113 were ruled for Canelo.

wow!!!pretty spot on from canelo, that was my same impression watching it at home..i had it a draw though but 115-113 either way would have been fine with me too! there was no schooling by either fighter last night as both fighters did barely enough to win.

In pic 4 Salinas is trying to escape on his bicycle, but he got chased and beat the f**k down by a Mexican taxi cab driver as you see in pic 2, . A graduate of the Cuban Boxing School got f**ked up by a dude with a record of 16-7, .

the "cuban boxing school" is a school for amateurs they don't have pro's in cuba thats why lara lost he fought like an amateur

That was Lara's last big payday. He had a chance to shine on PPV but he ran in every single round whilst Canelo was the only one pressing the action the whole fight.

Did he expect to win a decision in Vegas against the A-side fighting like that? I just don't understand why he chose to fight the way he did.
