Too bad he still fought thru those adversities and stopped his opponents in devastating fashion.
BHop getting put to sleep, deal with it.
Lol the only time he had genuine adversity was the first fight with Darnell Boone. These are just some signs of adversity outside the ring, inside the ring he didn't face major adversity to expose the problems outside the ring. He's lucky those 2 cuts were against a guy like Agnew, watch when he gets cut vs Hopkins.
The weight problem won't go away, and with veteran Hopkins in the later rounds... cut eyes, clinch , pain.
Yep but he also did for Agnew, except it was only after losing 3 lbs in 90 minutes.
He's having issues making weight.
Perhaps a tertiary reason why Bhop made the fight. Matchmakers for veterans like Bhop know its best to catch young guys when they are "in between" weight classes.

True point, i always got the feeling that Hopkins while being brave for taking the challenge definitely sees something in Kovalev's game he can exploit hence being so keen for the fight. The weight issue only adds to that.

Not sure about a weight problem ... he's one of the lighter fighting LHWs out there - typically coming to the ring 183-4 (Whereas Stevenson fights closer to 190.
As for the cuts? Well, what ya gonna do - guys get butted, they're gonna bleed.
To my knowledge in his career he's been cut twice from butts, once from an elbow. Hopefully it doesn't become a regular thing, though of course against BHops the possibility is very real that he'll get butted or something.

Oscar came into the ring vs Pacquiao at 147 but he was clearly drained. Kovalev don't rehydrate much cause he too drained to get the strength back in just 24 hours, i've never seen unofficial weights for Kovalev or Stevenson so i would appreciate if you could provide a link but all i know is that Stevenson is a former super middleweight and Kovalev never been past 8 rounds.
Great power but hows the staminaaaaa? We'll find out in november.
This guys an a obvious alt troll, but even though it doesn't look like he's having trouble making weight, he always lets off like he is. Aside from this, he's told reporters about the struggle making weight and sometimes skipping meals for a while to make weight.... But comes in like a pound under
