Comments Thread For: Rose: I Promise You, I'm Coming Back With That Title!

28 May 2010. Brian Rose has been stopped in the sixth round by durable journeyman Max Maxwell. This just seven months after Rose had won his first professional title, the Central Area light middleweight, with a PTS10 win over Jason Rushton. It would be Rushton’s last appearance in a boxing ring after collapsing outside his dressing room that night and was then put into a drug induced come as a result of bleeding on the brain. The Yorkshireman never fought again but thankfully he survived his life threatening ordeal.

That period proved to be the toughest of Rose’s career. The guilt of what happened to Rushton combined with the loss to Maxwell left the Blackpool man wondering if he should carry on boxing. [Click Here To Read More]

Doubt he will but I'm hoping he pulls of the upset!
What a great day would it be for England to beat scummy Italians then for Rose to get the world title.

      Big ask but I'm optimistic.

Someone forgot to tell him they're not fighting in England and he wn't have his personal judges like the Maciel fight. Too bad they robbed him because that would have been a much better fight.

Andrade is going to win big and put himself in the mix with the top guys at 154.

He has great skills, perhaps needing to be polished.

His fight with Martirosyan was not as close as the scorecards indicate. He showed good discipline in that fight, and was a sizeable step up in competition compared to what he is used to.

I watched him in Chicago '07 World Amateur Championships, and he was, IMO, the most impressive boxer there.

Although he may not have the most crowd pleasing style, he is a hell of a boxer, who is going to start hitting his groove.

I expect him to stop Rose around rounds 8-9. Possibly early if he sets him up for a big punch. Hopefully he can raise his profile enough to land the fights he demands, because he has the skill.

Good to see him have confidence, hopefully this translates into an awesome fight tonight. I still have Andrade winning though.

Maciel vs. Andrade would have been much more intriguing.

Andrade is going to give this guy a boxing lesson.
